The fish have a new home that will hopefully keep them healthier. I like the sunken ship. We have not named all of the fish yet because we don't want to waste a good name on a fish that is going to die in a day. Mummachog (solid gold behind the ship--Brian came up with that one) has made it almost a week which is amazing since it came from Wal-mart. Oscar (black sucker fish on the side by the plants) will probably never die and is kind of mean. If the other fish bother him he will charge at them. Mostly they leave him alone which is easier now because their tank is twice the size of their old bowl. Mathias still loves to watch them and help feed them. He will watch them for a long time and gets excited when he sees the bubbles from the aerator. He loves bubbles and it is really funny that he gets so excited by them.

In case anyone is keeping track, we had another fish die this past weekend. I think he died of an infection called Dropsy. Mummachog developed Ich and fin rot which is spreading to the white fish. I have had to add a special fish medicine to the water and hope it clears up. Who knew fish had so many problems. I always assumed they would be an easy pet. Petsmart has been very helpful with all of our fish drama. :)
Well, the white fish died last night. Mummachog is still alive but looks pretty bad. We are waiting for him to die and then we are going to try some different fish. Oscar is still alive and kicking. Thank goodness the fish have all been under warranty when they died.
Well, all of the goldfish are now dead. Oscar is still alive and is doing better now that all of the goldfish are gone. We are going to try Guppies next. Cross you fingers!
I woke up this morning to find Oscar floating at the top of the bowl. Poor little Mathias, he loves to watch the fish and now they are all dead. We are going to wait a few more days to make sure the tank is clean from the Ich and then we are going to get guppies.
