Hello?

Mathias is obsessed with phones because they have lights, buttons and make noise. He has just started to hold it up to his ear and have a 'conversation'. It is really funny to watch because he will start laughing and carry on a conversation in gibberish. Sometimes he will hold the phone out to us so we can talk too.

Zebra

Mathias got this bounce and spin Zebra from Grammy and Papa Wallace for Christmas. He thinks it is funny.

Still Playing with Stolen Toys

Toy Swap

Mathias and Anabela were not interested in their own toys from Santa, so they switched and were happy as can be.
Mathias making the move to Anabela's keyboard.
He played with her keyboard all day.
Trying to plug in the microphone. Mathias has the same 'concentration face' as his Daddy.

Anabela playing with Mathias' alphabet radio. She also played with it all day.

Christmas Morning

Mathias and Brian

Merry Christmas!

Mathias and Anabela in their matching Christmas jammies on Christmas morning. They were pretty cute. Their jammies even had a butt flap.

Playing Piano

Mathias found the piano and Grandma and Grandpa Ravsten's house. He sat and played the piano for a long time and was upset when it was time to eat. He would go back to it at every chance he got. Maybe he inherited some musical talent from Aunt Becky and Uncle Jeff, we can only hope (Mom is musically retarded but Dad plays the guitar).

Christmas Tree

Abominable Snowman
I had to buy new ornaments that won't break for our tree this year. I had fun doing something different with the tree but kept the tree topper the same.

Sleepy Boy

This is the first time Mathias has fallen asleep at dinner. It was pretty funny...he was trying so hard to stay awake but just couldn't keep his eyes open.

Flipping the Pancakes

Oh, what fun it is!

Busted!

Mathias is such a little monkey! I was in the kitchen cleaning, Brian was at the computer and Mathias was playing in the family room. All of the sudden it got really quiet and then the lights went off. I looked in the family room to find Mathias standing on the back of the couch flipping the lights on and off. He thought it was pretty funny, especially when he got caught!

Watching Mom

Mathias climbed into his stroller to watch Mom make dinner. He sat very quietly for a long time... just watching and waiting.

Tipping Back a Cold One

Helping???

Mathias helping put up the Christmas tree.

I know this picture is a little blurry but I think it looks cool. It shows how fast Mathias can crawl when he is in trouble.

Rough-Housing with Dad

Not much to explain. Boys will be boys.

Dirty Look

One dirty look!

Mathias got into the coat closet and was giving me dirty looks for finding him and taking his picture.

Busy Ball Popper

Grammy and Papa gave Mathias this toy and he loves it! He is such a serious (but happy) kid that it is hard to get him this excited about anything. (The funny part is about 10 seconds in.) Brian and I have just as much fun watching him play. (He usually screams more than this, but this is the best video we have been able to get of it. Mathias gets too distracted by the camera.)

One Year Old

I took Mathias to have his one year old pictures taken today. As usual, it took forever to get Mathias to crack a smile. He finally gave in and his pictures turned out really cute. (For some reason the pictures are not cropped on the CD.)

Tootsie Pop

We let Mathias have a sucker after his hard work. He loved it--purple tongue and all!

Trick-or-Treat!

We took Mathias Trick-or-Treating. He had fun with Dad and he was holding his pumpkin out for candy. He had quite the haul for only knocking on four doors! As you can see, Mathias was pleased with his work.
