Playgroup Halloween Party

Today was our anual playgroup Halloween party.  I made the kids' costumes again this year and they turned out so cute. I even took a stab at making my own patterns.
 Mathias as Captain America
 Miss Ashley as Catwoman.
There are ruffles around the neck of her costume but they didn't show up very well in the picture.
 Ruffle Bum!
 Nickolas as Superman/Captain America.
He was mad about the cape and didn't want his picture taken.
We took Mathias's best buddy, Jaxon, with us since his mom just had a baby.  The boys had fun decorating and then eating cupcakes.
Ashley slept through half of the party.

11 Months Old!

I can't believe Ashley is 11 months old already!  Where has the last year gone?  Ashley recently learned how to play peek-a-boo by herself and she plays it with anything she can put over her head (socks, pants, shirts, etc.)

 She is so funny.

Nothing but Trouble

These two are nothing but trouble sometimes.  They are both accomplished mess makers and enjoy making all the messes they can.  Notice all of the smashed crackers on the hardwood?

Brian likes to take Cheerios to munch on in the car.  He left his cup full of Cheerios on the counter and Nickolas got it and brought it up stairs where he and Ashley proceeded to make a mess with it.  They were having fun and then Nickolas discovered that the Cheerios make a fun sound when you step on them.  He stomped on all of them and made an even bigger mess.  It's a good thing they are cute.

10 Months Old

Ashley at 10 months old.  Notice her little piggy tail???

She is still such a happy and sweet little girl but she is getting to be SO BUSY!
I don't remember my boys being quite as busy as Ashley is.

Nickolas is such a goofy kid...and LOUD!  The kid doesn't have a quiet bone in his body.

Soccer!

Mathias played soccer this fall and had a lot of fun.  Here are a few pictures from the season.
Warming up for his first game.  Go Sharks!
Mathias and his friend, Ruth, got to be on the same team.
 Just before the first game.
Almost got a smile.  He really did have fun playing.  :)
Ruth, Mathias and Kate (Ruth's sister)

Mathias has been in love with Ruth since we moved into our house and saw her across the street.  They get along with each other and play well together.

Nickolas and Ashley watching big brother play soccer.
The last game of the season was COLD and WET!!!
Ashley was trying to pull her hat off.
 Nickolas
 Little monkey.
Only half of the team showed up for the last game and the kid in the yellow was sick so he only played for a few minutes.  The other four kids were good sports about having to play the entire game without subs.  They had a good season and Mathias is looking forward to next year.
Mathias and Ruth again.  This picture just makes me laugh.

First Day of Preschool

Mathias started preschool the first week of September.  We are doing the home school co-op again and he loves it.  I can't believe he will be in kindergarten next year.

 Thinking he's pretty cool.

Bear World

We went to Bear World with some of Brian's family.  It was fun to see all of the bears and feed the other animals.

Ashley with Aunt Melissa and Uncle Matt who are excited for their new arrival to come in February.  :)

The goat was helping himself.

Hogle Zoo

We FINALLY took a vacation this year and went down to Utah and Idaho to visit our families.  While in Salt Lake we went to Hogle Zoo with my sister and her daughter.  It was a lot of fun and I wish we lived closer to our family.
Zoorasic Park exhibit was at the zoo and the boys still think that the dinosaurs are real.  They were all anamatromic and very cool.

Nickolas checking out the gorilla's nipples.  The kid is obsessed with nipples and we have no idea what started it.
 The kids with Daddy

Holding elephant poop.  He thought it was pretty neat.
 Life size T-Rex
 Ashley was exhausted.

 She is so stinking cute!
She had so much fun watching all of the people and eating cotton candy.  (That's what the blue is on her face.)
