Playing Doctor

Mathias was pretending that he had a broken leg too and Nickolas was the doctor. I think the box he's laying on is the x-ray machine.

I have been trying to get Mathias to stop playing doctor for a while now because there have been a few times where it wasn't so innocent. Since he broke his arm he has been wanting to play doctor all of the time. I finally gave in and told him he could only play doctor on arms and legs. I don't know why, but he loves to play doctor.

Thunderstorm!

We had a pretty big thunderstorm last night. This is a big piece of hail from it. It's the biggest hail I have seen in a while. It scared me when it first started to hail. We were in the basement watching a movie and didn't hear it start. When I started walking upstairs I could hear something that sounded like someone was walking around our house. It took a second to realize it was the storm and we did not have an intruder.

Pool Party!!!

It was finally warm enough today to get out the swimming pool. The boys had some friends over and had a blast playing in the water. I forgot to take any pictures when their friends were here. Oops!

I'm so glad that Mathias's cast is waterproof and he can go swimming. He had so much fun.

I think this was his forth or fifth otter pop.

Captain Hook's Ice Cream

Mathias had his first fudgesicle from the ice cream man the other day and thought it was pretty cook. The ice cream truck is named "Captain Hook's Ice Cream" and the guy that runs it has a hook for an arm. Mathias thought it was funny when he took our money with his hook.

He really liked his ice cream, he just didn't like me taking his picture.

Messy Boy

Nickolas does not care how messy he gets the way his big brother does. This kid is a pro at making messes and doesn't like to get cleaned up.

New Cast

Mathias got a new green cast today and seems to be a little more comfortable. It looks like the cast will be on for another 5 weeks. It's a gortex cast so he can get it wet and go swimming. Unfortunately, the sandbox he has been helping his Dad build is on hold until the cast is off since sand has a way of find its way into everything.

He was mad at me for taking his picture and interrupting his shows.

Bad Day

Mathias fell off the couch yesterday and broke his arm. He broke both bones in his left forearm. Thankfully his arm did not need to be set. Poor thing has been so good during the whole ordeal. He didn't really cry at the hospital until they started to splint his arm.

Shining Armor

Mathias in his "shining armor." I'm not sure where he came up with this but it consists of a headband, comb and hair elastic. He was mad at me for taking his picture in his shining armor.

Backyard Picnic

We had a picnic in the backyard on Monday night. The boys had so much fun eating outside.
