Ashley, One Year Old!

Here's Ashley at one year old.  This is the birthday dress I made for her and I love how it turned out.  She is so cute!
The furnace was on and blowing up her dress.  She thought it was pretty funny.

Not sure what she is doing here but it makes me laugh.

Didn't Your Mom Ever Tell You...

That if you pull a funny face it will stay that way?

Happy First Birthday Ashley!

I'm not entirely sure how it happened so fast, but it has already been one year since Ashley made her quick entrance into this world.  Here's a link to blog posts one year ago:  http://changosrus.blogspot.com/2010/11/crazy-day.html
It's amazing how much all three of my children have changed over the last year.

She is so sweet and silly and we love her so much.
 Opening presents!

 Trying out her baby's bottle.
I can only hope that Ashley loves her baby dolls as much as I loved mine.

Cake!

Ashley's First Birthday Cake

 Ashley's First Birthday Cake
She wasn't sure what to think of the candle but didn't waste any time getting into her cake.
 Everyone else got bear cupcakes.
"Good pancakes, Mom!"  Nickolas calls every type of cake "pancake."
Mathias does not usually like to have his picture taken.
Ashley was our first kid to not waste any time smashing the cake and making a mess.  She even stepped on it!

 She is so pretty.

And my boys are so handsome.

Preschool Igloos

Jaxon, Mathias, Clara, and Logan

For the letter "I" we made igloos at preschool.  The kids had a lot of fun making them and even more fun trying to sneak a marshmallow or a lick of frosting.

Oreos and Other Shenanigans

Ashley wouldn't be a Ravsten if she didn't have a serious sweet tooth.  She loves oreos just like the rest of the family.
The boys snuggling with daddy and making a fort with the levi quilt.

I think the sugar is going to her head!

 Nickolas wearing daddy's flip flops.

Who needs a spoon when you can put your whole face in the bowl?

Silly little Ashley.

Halloween

The boys getting ready to go trick-or-treating.

This year for Halloween we had the Haynes family over for dinner and then all of the boys went trick-or-treating. Rachel and I stayed home with the baby girls and handed out candy.

Ashley had fun with the glow sticks.

Mathias Turns 5!!!

Mathias finally turned 5 on October 30, 2011.  Five has been a long awaited birthday by Mathias and he was so excited when the day finally came.  He had a superhero birthday party with his friends complete with a Spiderman pinata and a Captain America birthday cake.  Like usual, I made the cake, and at Mathias's request, it had fresh raspberries from the garden in side.  It turned out really well if I don't say so myself.

Getting ready to blow out all 5 candles with his friends watching.

Opening presents.

On Mathias's actual birthday we had his favorite dinner, chicken and rice.  I also got out our "You are special today" plate for the birthday boy.  This is the first time we have used it since we got it as a wedding gift 10 years ago.  My mom had a plate just like this one and it was always used on birthdays.

Ashley enjoying some real food that isn't from a jar.

Silly kids.

Happy Birthday Mathias!

They are so cute!
